TEHRAN – Iran’s Minister of Defence Forces Logistics has declared that a country with significantly greater capabilities than it has been deployed during the recent 12-day war against Israel is warning that Tehran will not hesitate to use them in response to new hostilities.
Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting with foreign military attacks in Tehran, held to mark “Defence Industry Day,” he emphasized that the missiles used in the conflict were developed several years ago but still proved to be effective at key targets.
“In the 12-day war, we faced a fully supported enemy,” Nasirzadeh told reporters. “Iran’s Islamic Republic not only stood up to the Zionist regime, but also to the full logistics, intelligence and operational support of the United States.”
According to the defense minister, Iranian troops relied solely on weapons produced domestically throughout the conflict. “Everything adopted in the war was a product of our own defence industry,” he said. “The world witnessed how our missiles hit targets, causing great losses to Zionist enemies.”
Nasirzadeh also accused Israel of imposing tight media censorship to hide the extent of the damage. Nevertheless, he said the gradually emerged information confirmed the accuracy and destructive forces of Iran’s missile strike. “Our missile capabilities today are far more advanced than those used in war,” he added. “We have powerful weapons that have not yet been adopted. If the Zionist enemies choose adventurism again, we certainly will use them.”
The minister emphasized that Israel deployed some of the most sophisticated US-assisted defense systems during the battle. However, in his words, those defenses did not prevent Iranian missiles from reaching their targets.
Iran’s best military headquarters praises military preparations
Separately, the commander of Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters confirmed that the Iranian forces were completely wary and would continue to monitor the enemy’s movements closely.
The commander made his remarks at a meeting Wednesday with Iran’s military judicial authority director, Hojatres Rom Pokagan.
Pourkhaghan expressed confidence that the new aggression would trigger an even more severe response. The commander of Khatam Al-Anbiya repeated this, saying that Iranian forces remain fully prepared to counter future threats.
Iran’s missile advances were highlighted during a retaliatory attack on occupied territory following the regime’s unprovoked attack on Iranian soil on June 13, leading the martial arts of many civilians, including Iran, senior commanders and nuclear scientists.
During the 12-day conflict, one of the Iranian missiles used was a Kheibarshekan, part of the IRGC’s third generation long-range missile weapons, which could be piloted to avoid missile defenses to do so during re-entering. Its optimized design reduces weight by a third compared to previous models, reducing preparation and start-up times by nearly 85%. The missile is 10.5 meters long, 80 cm in diameter, weighing 4.5 tons, and is carried a 500 kilogram high explosion warhead in a range of 1,400 kilograms.
During the conflict, Kheibarshekan demonstrated both its destructive power and its ability to overcome advanced US and Israeli defense systems.
