Tehran – Iranian security forces have caused major losses to terrorist groups operating in Sistan and the volatile southeastern province of Balchestan.
A rapid and coordinated operation by law enforcement command in the Islamic Republic of Iran (Farraja) has worked with intelligence reporting and security forces to eliminate key perpetrators of recent deadly attacks on law enforcement and innocent civilians.
Faraja spokesman General Said Montazel al-Mahadi released the successful conclusions of the operation on Wednesday, resulting in the elimination of eight terrorists directly responsible for the ambush on August 22, claiming the lives of five police officers in Daman district of Iranshaal district. The terrorists targeting police patrol forces were found to have substantial caches of weapons and ammunition, as well as evidence of ongoing efforts to destabilise the area.
In addition to success, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported that it had carried out three anti-terrorist operations coordinated with the Intelligence Ministry across Iranshaal, Kash and Saraban. These operations have killed 13 terrorists and many other terrorists have been arrested.
The so-called Jaish Al-Adl Terror group is well known for its violent behavior and claimed responsibility for the attack on August 22nd. This same group was behind the horrifying July 26th attack on Zahedan’s Sistan and the Balchestan provincial court. There, three armed extremists mercilessly targeted civilians, leading to the tragic deaths of six innocent people, including their mother and her six-month-old baby, and injured 24 people.
Jaish Al-Adl is active near the border with Pakistan, primarily with Pakistani costumes, and targets people in Pakistani soil. Iran and Pakistan have decided to increase cooperation to eradicate cross-border terrorism. Intelligence reports that terrorists are primarily related to foreign spy agencies, particularly Mossads.
