TEHRAN – As part of its ongoing crackdown on terrorists and spies, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has dismantled terrocells, which have ties to Israel’s infamous Mossad spying agency. The operation carried out in Khorasan Razavi province was announced through a statement released on Saturday.
Eight individuals were arrested during an operation that was accurately targeted. This was carried out by the intelligence agency of the IRGC in Holasan Razabi in collaboration with the Iranian judiciary. Individuals were part of the Mossad network working with separatists.
The IRGC statement said the evidence revealed that the evidence revealed that specialized online trained terrorists organized by the Mossads have turned them into tools for spying and sabotaging. They are accused of sending sensitive coordinates of important Iranian infrastructure and intelligence about high-ranking military figures directly to handlers within Israeli spy devices. However, they were arrested before carrying out the planned obstruction attack.
“The terrorist cells were intended to interfere with key centres within the sacred city of Mashhad, the heart of Khorasan Razavi. Thanks to the vigilance of the IRGC, these operations were hampered before they were unleashed,” the IRGC statement revealed. Security forces discovered bomb-making materials, launchers and explosives.
The capture comes in the wake of the recent 12-day war, launched by the Israeli regime’s unprovoked invasion of Iran from June 13th. The attack killed more than 1,000 Iranians, including military commanders, scientists and innocent civilians. The United States then bombed three Iranian nuclear sites in violation of international law.
