Tehran – Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry is the coordinator of the Standing Committee for Science and Technology Cooperation of the Islamic Cooperative Organization (Komstec), highlighting Iran’s capabilities in innovation and technology as one of the most successful countries in the world.
Officials made their remarks while working on the inauguration ceremony of the Comstec Centre in Paldis Technology Park in Tehran.
Pardis Technology Park quotes Chaudhry as the best model of the innovative ecosystem in West Asia, which has experienced significant growth over the past 20 years.
The park’s infrastructure and extensive networks play a vital role in fostering scientific cooperation in the Islamic world, and the establishment of a joint academy in the region will be a milestone in fostering joint scientific and technological advances, officials noted.
The Joint Academy aims to share the country’s successful experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship with Islamic countries, he added.
Comstech will collaborate with the new centre at Pardis Technology Park to hold regular training courses for member states of the Islamic Cooperation Agency (OIC). The first training course will focus on artificial intelligence. He noted that the Academy will be holding other courses in the areas of innovation and technology.
