In Tehran-Memo, Sazandegi addressed the approval of two states’ solutions to the Palestinian and Israeli conflict at the annual conference by the UN General Assembly.
Written: The plan for a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue and the two states was approved by the United Nations. Filled with opposition votes between the US and Israeli regimes, the plan was approved the day after Netanyahu announced that a Palestinian state would not be formed. What is noteworthy about Friday’s vote was the absence of Iran’s Islamic Republic as one of the main supporters of the Palestinian cause. By refraining from participating in the vote, Iran has once again highlighted its principled, long-standing position. A position that views Zionist regime occupation and apartheid policies as the root cause of the crisis and denies the unfair solutions imposed. Iran shows that the exclusion of issues such as the right to self-defense for Palestinians and the establishment of nuclear-weaponless zones in the Middle East has deprived this recognition of legal and political validity, indicating that the only way to achieve lasting peace is to list it to free and just people among the Palestinian indigenous peoples.
Etemad: The Need for an Effective Being in New York
Etemad discussed the impact of the recent agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, and discussed the relationship between Tehran and Washington and European affairs expert Morteza Makki. He said: Before the offensive attack on our country in Israel in June, Americans had announced they were ready to speak to Iran. After the 12-day war, Americans were trying to pursue their demands by showing that they disliked consultations with Iran, and in this regard they left Iranian lawsuits to Europe to some extent. At this stage, Washington has delegated the activation of snapbacks to Europe, and Europeans have been working with the US and Israel on the issue. However, the door to talks between Tehran and the European Troika is still open, and if an agreement is reached with Europe, it must be seized, as Washington will likely participate. The US is seeking direct negotiations and does not intend to proceed with the dialogue process through mediation. In this regard, the final decision is the responsibility of Tehran and Washington, and it is so important that the opportunity for Iranian officials to attend and be proactive in New York is very important.
sobh-e-no: A clear message to Riyadh
In his analysis, Sobh-e-No discussed the dangerous project to disarm Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance movement, writing: Given these developments, Saudi Arabia is challenging the tone of the Israeli regime by disarming the resistance and pushing for a project that will surrender completely to this rebellious regime. However, Saudi Arabia’s claims of Hezbollah’s disarmament reached a major reckless point that certainly faces opposition from Iran. Today, the full capabilities of the nations in the Islamic world and regions must be mobilized against Israel as a common enemy. And instead of division, regional countries must be able to follow a path of solidarity and contain this incompatible regime through regional consensus. If this is not done, an unstable and dangerous future awaits players from all regions.
Ettelaat: Negotiations with Washington do not mean friendship
In an interview with reformist political activist Mehdi Ayati, Ettelaat discussed the complexity of Iran’s relationship with the international system. He said: Iran follows a three-way approach that includes “peace,” “war,” and “no war or peace.” However, these methods reach a dead end, as they cannot reconcile with America due to the ideals of revolution. On the other hand, we have never sought war. Therefore, our country is in a state of “no war or peace.” In addition to sanctions, if snapbacks are activated, the current situation will worsen, so neither war nor peace is bad for us. The European Troika says we cannot untie your knot and must reach an agreement with the US. This is truly a question filled with strong opposition from hardliners across the country. The fact that we say we will negotiate with America is not because we love this country. However, in reality, conversations with the United States allow us to achieve certain goals. Israel will be contained, allowing oil to be sold in global markets, and European countries will enter the Iranian economic market.
