Tehran – Iranian President Masudo Pezeskian is preparing to address world leaders at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. According to political adviser Mehdi Sanaei, President Pezeschkian will depart for New York on Tuesday.
Sanaei announced at X that Pezeshkian will deliver the address to UNGA on Wednesday morning at Tehran Time. In addition to his speech, President Pezeschkian is expected to engage in separate discussions between the UN Secretary General and officials representing various countries. He will also hold a meeting with think tanks and members of the Iranian diaspora living in the United States.
UNGA’s 80th session officially began on September 9th, with general discussion beginning on September 23rd. This year’s theme is “Over 80 Years for Peace, Development and Human Rights: Over 80 Years.” This is the focus that guides discussion as world leaders outline priorities at the global stage.
