Tehran – A delegation of Iranian knowledge-based companies operating in the health sector will take part in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025, which will be held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th.
With support from the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, knowledge-based companies will establish pavilions in China.
Hosted in Shanghai since 2018, the exposition is held annually to open the Chinese market to foreign goods and services. CIIE remains an important destination for global companies seeking both China’s visibility and concrete opportunities.
The exhibition usually includes seven major exhibition areas: food and agricultural products, automobiles and smart mobility, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and medical products, trade in services, and innovation incubation special sections.
The display area for medical devices and healthcare products includes medical devices, medicines, medicines, rehabilitation, elderly care products, supplements and nutrients.
Knowledge-based companies will also have the opportunity to showcase the latest achievements and capabilities in CPHI and PMEC India, with the support of the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy.
It is one of the largest and most comprehensive events and trade fairs for the South Asian pharmaceutical industry.
It is one of the items on display, including pharmaceutical ingredients, final formulations, natural extracts of medicines, fine chemicals, cleaning room technology, machinery and equipment.
It aims to promote a synergistic blend of business, leadership, innovation, knowledge exchange, awareness and networking.
Tehran boosts health relations with Beijing in New Delhi
Iran and China will implement joint programmes in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors under a 25-year agreement signed by the two countries, said Hamid Inanlow, a Food and Drug Administration official in September.
“The joint programme aims to enhance the capabilities of the commercial, science and industry of the two countries, strengthen domestic production and promote access to local markets,” Irna quoted Inanlow as saying.
Part of the 25-year strategic partnership focuses on expanding collaboration in the health sector, including expertise, technology sharing, conducting medical research, exchanging professional talent and developing new drugs, he added.
Inanlow further pointed out the manufacturing equipment for medical and laboratory equipment, including syringes, diagnostic kits, health products, co-investments and joint venture establishments.
In April, Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarkandi and his Indian counterparts investigated the possibility of expanding health cooperation.
Authorities met on the sidelines of the health ministry for the eighth time, the Ministry of Health, Shanghai Cooperation Agency (SCO) in Xi’an, China, the Ministry of Health website reported.
In a meeting with Punya Salila Srivastava, Indian secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, both emphasized the strengthening of joint efforts, especially in the development of manufactured medicines, vaccines, traditional medicine and medical training.
Zafarqandi praised the achievements in India’s health sector and announced it is ready to promote cooperation with India in the areas mentioned.
Thanks to their indigenous teachings, emphasizing the capabilities of both countries of traditional medicine, authorities said, “Iran is willing to exchange knowledge and experience with India and conduct joint research on traditional medicine.”
The Minister of Health also proposed to promote cooperation on primary health care.
On her part, Indian officials mentioned earlier signed agreements between the two countries, saying that India is willing to expand cooperation with Iran in various areas of the health sector.
