TEHRAN – President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated the critical importance of national unity and constructive dialogue to address the challenges facing Iran.
Speaking at a Student Day ceremony in Tehran, he explained that solving the country’s problems requires collective efforts and harmony. The President said all segments of society, whether left or right, share responsibility for current problems, including long-standing imbalances in electricity, water, finance, the environment and culture.
He urged officials and the public to be logical and avoid insults, slander and stigma, warning that such atrocities only exacerbate division. Pezeshkian emphasized that all citizens should follow the lead of the Islamic Revolution and support Iran and not give special treatment to those who hold opposing views. He called for patience and tolerance even when there are differences of opinion, and asserted that students and youth, the country’s main capital, are universally focused on reform, albeit from diverse perspectives. The president made these remarks after directly addressing students’ various concerns regarding political, economic, social and cultural issues.
