TEHRAN – Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian, accompanied by several members of his cabinet, visited the National Defense Cooperation and Development Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Logistics of the National Defense Forces and the Military.
The visit took place on Wednesday morning on the sidelines of the weekly cabinet meeting.
The exhibition, set up in the courtyard of the cabinet building, is designed to highlight the Ministry of Defense’s latest advancements, capabilities and potential contributions to various industrial and technical fields.
The event featured the scope of defense-driven innovation, where applications have been extended beyond the military sector.
During the tour, President Pezeschkian and government officials explored various sections of the exhibition. It featured key technologies advancements in oil, gas, petrochemicals, health and medical devices, and defense technologies adapted to private healthcare.
The exhibition was held in line with Article 102 of the 7th Year Five Year Development Plan, which aims to promote greater integration between the defense sector and the broader economy. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to leverage surplus defense technology for economic growth, strengthen the ecosystem of national innovation, and expand the possibility of dual use of military progress.
