Tehran – Iran strongly condemned the so-called “plan” by US President Donald Trump to move Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, calling it an extension of Israel’s wider plan to erase Palestinian identity .
“The plan to cleanse Gaza and forcibly drive away the Palestinian people is an extension of Israel’s calculated agenda to wipe out the Palestinian people,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Wednesday.
“The recent claim by the US to seize Gaza represents an unprecedented attack on international law and the core principles of the UN Charter,” the spokesman said.
He argued that such actions were incompatible with “the fundamental principles of international law and human rights.”
A spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to strongly reject the plan.
He continued to emphasize the deep and deep resistance of the Palestinians to Israeli occupation and attacks. “For 76 years, the Palestinians have endured the harshest crimes and violations of the occupation regime.”
He therefore stressed that the Palestinians would never allow the US and Israeli regimes to erase their historical and national identities.

Baghaei urged the global community to unite against such schemes, particularly highlighting the responsibility of all governments and the responsibility to support Palestinians’ self-determination and freedom from occupation.
He also reiterated the importance of international organizational support for Palestinians, claiming that he “seeks a firm rejection of this proposal by the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly and the UN Secretary-General.”
