TEHRAN – The Ministry of Health has developed the first male self-care application using artificial intelligence (AI) and is planning to launch it this week.
The purpose of this application is to address the issues of men when referring to medical centers, as most of them work when the center is providing services.
The Ministry of Health is also planning to use AI and modern technology to design self-care applications using the top 10 widespread illnesses among women. Register their info on the app and they can follow up on their health issues, Raeisi added.
Officials further say the Ministry of Health is already designing a virtual training program for the prevention and treatment of a variety of diseases, including breast, colon and prostate cancer. The pilot program is currently being implemented in QOM city. It is scheduled to be held nationwide in the next Iranian calendar year, starting on March 21st.
Men’s Health Week
National Men’s Health Week was held from June 13th to 19th, 2024 under the theme “Healthy Men, Strong and Young Iran.”
Men’s Health Week is an annual adherence aimed at raising awareness of the health challenges men face and promoting strategies for better physical and mental well-being.
This week is to raise awareness of men’s health and encourage them to seek help in addressing health concerns that all men may be experiencing.
International Men’s Health Week was created in 1994 to raise awareness of preventable health issues and promote early detection and treatment of diseases in men and juveniles.
Iran’s health system “The World’s Role Model”
In January, President Masoud Pezeshkian called the country’s healthcare system a role model for both local and globally thanks to this unique, particularly primary healthcare service.
According to the Ministry of Health website, Pezeshkian praised the substantial advances in the health sector in a letter to a national seminar held in Mashhad to honor medical staff, including nurses.
The president said these notable achievements include providing vaccinations and prenatal care to pregnant mothers, controlling infectious diseases, promoting health education, sharing knowledge, and training a new generation of health staff across the country. He said it was the result of the constant efforts of healthcare workers.
Significant increases in life expectancy, reduced infant mortality, control of infectious diseases, and reduced complications caused by chronic diseases are all due to the dedication and commitment of healthcare workers.
Pezeschkian also praised ongoing health programs, including Universal Health Coverage and the Family Physician Program.
