TEHRAN – Iranian security forces carried out a massive counterterrorism operation in Chabahar, leading to the arrest of six militant suspects and the removal of one terrorist.
The operation was launched after intelligence reports were identified for the group’s hideout and was carried out in conjunction with the Chabahar Security Council. Authorities confirmed that a security sweep in the area is currently underway to eliminate the remaining threats.
Alileza Nura, Lieutenant Governor of Chhabahar County and Special Governor of Chhabahar County, said that local security forces are fully committed to protecting the area and that terrorist groups will not allow terrorist groups to destabilise Chabahar. I stated.
He confirmed that the suspect is a member of Jaish Al-Zulm, a known terrorist organization. Nura also warned against the spread of misinformation on social media, urging the public not to amplify stories that could support such groups.
Officials also said Iranian military training in the region had previously disrupted terrorist activities. However, despite these precautions, there have been a recent healthy bomb attack. Security forces are actively investigating incidents and are increasing surveillance and counter-terrorism efforts to prevent further attacks.
