TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolutionary Security Force Commander (IRGC) praised Iran’s defensive and military capabilities, highlighting that despite a series of retaliatory strikes and operations over the past year, the country’s enemies have not yet faced a “serious” blow.
Major General Hossein Salami made these comments on Wednesday, dealing with an IRGC unit named Payambar-e-A’azam (The Great Prophet) 19 and a Basij volunteer army held in Marcaj.
Salami emphasized that Iran’s true power could shake the world, warned the enemy to be wary of the country’s strikes, and referred to true promise projects 1 and 2 carried out against Israeli territory last year.
“Iran is a united, powerful being able to shake the world. Iran is horrifying and its enemies have yet to experience a major blow from Iran. Everything they saw in the true promise operation was just a warning and a prototype,” the IRGC chief said.
He continued, “If the enemy cannot learn from the 46-year history of the Islamic Republic and be malignant, they should expect the same humiliation and disgrace they have endured over the last 46 years, as Iran’s Islamic Republic progresses.”
Salami emphasized that Iran has been stronger, more independent over the years, and adheres to schools of thought that are intact by the enemy. The principles of struggle, independence and freedom remain their unwavering ideals.
“The US and Israel devised plans to politically separate the Iranian people and sought to instill fear, particularly in Iran’s mind through intense psychological operations, but they failed in every situation they created,” the IRGC chief said.
Salami also pointed out that Washington and Tel Aviv failed to defeat Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and besieged territories.
In July and October last year, Iran launched a series of missile attacks on the military, intelligence and spy bases of Zionist groups in retaliation.
These operations were carried out in response to the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Hanie in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
