TEHRAN – Tehran held a key diplomatic conference between Iran and Malaysia as Iran and Malaysia’s Islamic Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and Malaysia Foreign Minister Mohammad Hasan met for discussions on bilateral relations and regional development.
The high-level meeting took place in the Iranian capital. There, both ministers engaged in extensive consultations aimed at strengthening cooperation between their countries. The visit comes as part of an ongoing diplomatic effort to strengthen relations between Tehran and Kuala Lumpur.
Mohammad Hasan arrived in Tehran on Tuesday evening for consultations with Iranian officials.
During discussions, the two exchanged views on the latest developments in bilateral relations and important regional and global issues of mutual interest. The discussion focused on the areas of collaboration, economic partnerships, and diplomatic coordination at the International Forum.
The important outcome of the meeting was the signing of minutes of the eighth session of the Iran-Malaysia Joint Committee. The document, approved in the presence of both foreign ministers, reflects the continued commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation among various sectors.
The signing ceremony followed extensive debate between Ministers Araguchi and Hassan, and told another step in the deep relationship between Iran and Malaysia. The latest diplomatic involvement is expected to pave the way for further cooperation in trade, investment and political issues.
