Tehran – Gilan Science and Technology Park and Izmir Technology Park have explored ways to enhance collaboration.
According to the Science Ministry website, both staff members have reported that they are co-investing science projects, highlighting the need to entrust collaboration between health and intellectual property sector startups and intellectual property sectors.
During a meeting held on the sidelines of the 3rd Joint Conference of the Inter-Islamic Network of the Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation (Komstec) held in Izmir, Turkey on February 19-20, Executive Director (Instp) of the Islamic Network of Jiran Science and Technology Parks, announced that it was based on members of the Taki.
Additionally, INSTP (based in Gilan Science and Technology Park) has been decided to collaborate with the Inter-Islamic Network on Oceanography (based in Izmir University) to host a joint event on the maritime economy known as Blue Economy.
Both sides also agreed to implement comprehensive educational programs and commercialising startups operated with marine-based activities.
In February, Science and Technology Park in Mazandaran and Birnitechnopark in Istanbul discussed ways to expand technical and scientific interactions.
During the online meeting, Karim Soleimani, head of Science and Technology Parks in Mazandaran, and Setzn Erzan, general manager of Birni Technopark, stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the technical field, the Ministry of Science website reported.
Both sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focusing on establishing a Technology Transfer Office, supporting both countries in the establishment of Iranian and Turkish companies, and encouraging Iranian companies to enter new markets.
Attracting domestic and foreign investments to support Türkiye and Iranian startups will be a new step in the globalization of knowledge-based companies. This cooperation marks a turning point in the development of the international market for businesses operating in the Science and Technology Park in Mazandaran.
Creating a platform suitable for knowledge exchange, investment and establishment of companies provides unique opportunities for Iranian companies’ growth and technological advancement at a global level.
The meeting appears to be the beginning of strategic cooperation between the two parties. Iranian knowledge-based companies and startups can benefit from MOUs to develop their businesses in Türkiye and Europe.
