Tehran – An exhibition introducing Iranian handicrafts was held on the sidelines of joint naval training conducted by Iran, Russia and China in the Sea of Oman.
The exhibit, hosted by the Iranian Navy in Chabahar, exhibited an array of works created by artisans from the province of Sistan Balsestan, located in southeastern Iran, CHTN reported Thursday.
The exhibition was intended to introduce the state’s precious handicrafts to participants in naval exercises, said Vahide Rafshani, Associate Tourism Director, Sistan Balchestan.
“Like past years, we have established this exhibition to present our exquisite and meaningful handicrafts to international attendees,” she said.
“The exhibition consists of seven booths at Shahid Beheshti Port in Chabahar, where local artisans showcase a variety of handmade products. The exhibit has received good reviews from both national and international participants of the drill, many of whom are grateful for purchasing handicrafts and supporting local artisans.”
Rafshani emphasizes the international acclaim for Sistan Baluchestan’s handicrafts, and the positive reception at the exhibition highlights their appeal. “The exhibition will continue until Navy practice is over.”
On March 10, Iran, Russia and China began joint naval training in the region, marking its fifth year in which the three countries conducted military training together.
