The US fighters have carried out a series of air raids across Yemen, killing at least 31 people, Al Jazeera reported.
The US raid, the most important military action since Donald Trump returned to power in January, comes after Yemen’s Ansalala threatened to resume raids on Israel-linked ships related to Israel over Israeli-humanitarian aid blockade to Gaza.
The US attack began on Saturday and killed 31 people and injured 101 people in the areas of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, Saada, Al-Baida and Radaa, until early Sunday.
Sada’s victims included four children and one woman.
The Ansalara group warned that strikes “will not pass without responding.” The website condemned “U.S. British attacks” and “criminal atrocities” in Washington.
In a social media post, Trump has promised to “use the overwhelming deadly forces” of Yemen.
“Your time is over and your attacks must stop from today. If they don’t, hell will rain over you like something you’ve never seen before,” he said in a statement on his social media site, Truth Social.
“I have ordered the US military today to launch a decisive and powerful military operation against the Hooty terrorists in Yemen,” he said, adding that Washington will “use overwhelming deadly force until we reach our target.”
Ansala, who? Control a lot of Yemendespite threatening to block Israel’s blockade on all Israeli food, fuel and other essentials in the Gaza Strip last week, it has yet to attack the ship.
In a statement, Ansalella spokesman accused the US of exaggerating the threat to its shipping operations to influence public opinion.
“What the US President is claiming about the threat to international voyages in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait is to mislead international public opinion,” said Mohammed Abdul Salam.
“According to the ceasefire agreement between Palestinian resistance and enemy entities, the maritime embargo declared by Yemen in support of Gaza is limited to Israeli voyages until humanitarian assistance reaches the people of Gaza,” he added.
The Politicobu of Ansala issued another statement, describing the attack as a “war crime” and pledging to respond.
“Aggression wouldn’t be answered,” he said. “Our Yemeni military is fully prepared to respond to escalations caused by escalation.”
In Sanaa, residents said at least four air raids had shaken up the eastern Geraf district of Shuaib.
“The explosion was very strong,” Abdallah al-Al-Fai said. “It was like an earthquake.”
