At least 59 people have been killed and more than 155 have been injured in a nightclub fire in Northern Macedonia, officials say.
The flames broke out at the Pulse Club of Kokhani, a town 100 km (60 miles) east of the capital Skopje around 2:30 (01:30 GMT).
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski called it a “difficult and extremely sad day” for many “losing young lives.”
The arrest warrants were issued to four people, Home Minister Pans Toskovsky said on the scene without giving details. He previously announced the arrest of the man, with state communications agency Mia saying the club owner was in custody.
Toskovski says the fire was launched by sparks from a fireworks device that hit a ceiling made of highly flammable material.
The footage shows the band playing on stage as the two flares disappear. Sparks fire on the ceiling before spreading rapidly.
Videos verified by the BBC show people trying to extinguish the flames in the ceiling.
The club was still full and it seemed like people were watching an effort to put out the fire rather than leaving.
The Minister of Home Affairs had previously announced 51 deaths – about 100 people injured. In his update, he said 35 of the deceased had already been identified.
Local media reports that the government will declare a seven-day national mourning and will conduct emergency inspections of all nightclubs and restaurants that will host large gatherings.
Kocani’s hospital director previously said staff had struggled to identify patients due to a lack of ID cards. But she went on to say that the deceased had matured between the ages of 14 and 24.
