Tehran-Taq-e Bostan Director Mohammad-Mehdi Feyzaghaei said the historic site of Taq-e Bostan in Kermanshah was cleaned on April 22nd, and this took on National Earth Day.
He told ISNA that a group of non-governmental organizations and environmentalists had cleaned up the historic location of Taq-e Bostan and the area within the precincts of this ancient monument.
During this symbolic measure, he said trash was released scattered and released to the surface level of the historic locations of Taq-e Bostan and Khosrow Parviz hunting grounds.
He explained that environmentalists and non-governmental organizations participated in the event.
The goal behind the measure was to instill a culture that would keep the planet clean and preserve the state’s important historic monuments, he said.
The Taq-e Bostan is connected to the Sassanido-Parussia cultural heritage axis. Originally it was part of the Parthian royal hunting garden, where the Sassanians later added their own, imposing stamps. It features an extraordinary series of bottom-saving lives from the victorious Sassanid Kings carved into the base of a towering cliff.
It consists of a series of characteristics ranging from prehistoric to historic times, including Morado Hassel Tepe, an ancient village, Parthian cemetery, and Sassanid hunting grounds.
However, the most important characteristics of the complex belong to the characteristics of Sassanid, including the two portico (Ivans of large and small) and outstanding bas relief for the same period.
What doubles the beauty of Taq-e Bostan is the presence of the lake in front of the arch. This has been around for over a thousand years due to the presence of several bubble springs between the old and towering trees.
