Pakistan conducted its second missile test in three days on Monday after Moody said it was preparing for an invasion by India after Prime Minister Moody warned that the conflict over violence in Kashmir could regain economic reforms in Islamabad, Reuters reported.
The relationship between nuclear-armed neighbours has been attracting attention since April 22nd when gunmen killed 26 people in an attack targeting Hindu tourists in India’s Kashmir, the worst attack on Indian civilians in nearly 20 years.
India accused Pakistan of being involved. Islamabad denied the allegations but said he had the intelligence that New Delhi intends to launch military action against it soon.
Moody’s said the standoff could hurt Pakistan’s $350 billion economy. This is on the road to recovery after securing a $7 billion relief program from the International Monetary Fund last year and taking away the threat of default.
