Tehran – Yemen warned the Israeli regime of a painful reaction, revealing that the US wanted a ceasefire.
Mahdi al-Mashat, chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, issued a harsh warning of an overwhelming response to Israeli attacks on Yemen.
“Sanaa’s response is devastating, painful and beyond what the Israelite enemy can withstand,” he declared.
Al-Mashat spoke directly to the occupying forces, saying, “From this moment on, you will either stay in the shelter or immediately set off for your homeland. A failed government will no longer be able to protect you.”
He emphasized that “the Israeli attack confirms the justice of their resistance to our people and makes them even more reassuring as they face the dirty enemy known to humanity.”
Al Mashat continues, “What happened proves that our strike is painful and that they will continue.”
The chairman of the Supreme Political Council reaffirmed Yemen’s stance that “invasion will not stop us from a legitimate decision to support the Palestinian brothers until the genocide is over and the siege of Gaza is lifted.”
He emphasized, “There will not be a withdrawal from Backing Gaza regardless of cost.”
Armashat’s comments follow Sanaa’s Israeli airstrike. Sanaa has targeted city private airports, power plants and factories across multiple regions.
His comments also came in the wake of Trump’s announcement to halt airstrikes in Yemen.
The development coincided with a statement from Omani’s Foreign Ministry, saying, “Omani’s efforts have led to a ceasefire agreement between Sanaa related authorities, aimed at de-escalation.”
Experts interpret the US ceasefire deal as a recognition that it did not interfere with the blockade of Israeli ships in the Red and Arabian seas.
Analysts also note the growing US concern over Yemen’s potential attacks on oil-rich Arab countries hosting US bases. Observers argue that disrupting oil facilities in Arab countries poses a greater threat to the US economy than the Yemenian maritime blockade in Israel’s shipping.
Meanwhile, Ansalala spokesman and head of the national delegation, Mohammed Abdul Salam, said “Yemeni businesses supporting Gaza will not cease.”
He explained, “The current stance reflects the stiffness of Yemen’s position and in response to the demands of the United States, which were relayed through the Omani brothers.”
“We did not submit requests to the Americans. Rather, we have received their messages and requests via Omani brothers over the past few weeks,” he revealed.
Abdul Salam added: “The Israelis were deeply disappointed by the American attitude, which sought to avoid drowning in the mountains of Yemen.”
“The Americans were caught up in supporting Israel’s enemy, and we responded decisively,” he said.
He emphasized that “preliminary understanding of Americans has nothing to do with our attitude towards Backing Gaza.”
Commenting on Trump’s remarks, he said, “Trump’s statement reflects his opinion and reflects attempts to betray his declared goals, such as by eliminating military capabilities.”
Abdul Salam said, “The truth is what we declared and was stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman.”
“Any agreement guarantee is America’s own bitter experience in Yemen.”
“The real assurance is the unshakable position supported by our people through weekly meetings to support Gaza.”
He warned, “From any party, God will be pleased with a firm response.”
“People who are aggressive towards Yemen will face the same outcomes and losses as Americans.”
A senior Yemeni official said, “We urge all parties to focus on promoting support and aid entries in Gaza, which is the solution to end the local crisis.”
“Yemen’s stance in favour of Gaza stands as a responsibilities to other countries in the region.”
Finally, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “We express our gratitude to the brothers of Omani for their constructive role in promoting peace, security and stability.”
