Tehran – Yemeni forces have launched operations in solidarity with Gaza to block commercial Israeli air travel.
Military spokesman Yahya Saree has announced a “qualitative operation” targeting Zionist regime Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv with a polar-sound ballistic missile. He confirmed that the missile was successful with the intended target.
Sally said the operation is part of an effort to implement no-fly zones through Israeli airspace, in response to what he said was an ongoing genocide of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
“The enemy intercept system couldn’t stop it, and millions of occupying people rushed into the shelter and stopped the airport operations for nearly an hour,” Sally pointed out.
Israeli media reported that the US missile defense system, the second time this week, was unable to intercept the projectile.
Videos of the virus spread on social media showing panic among Israeli settlers, along with scenes of people fleeing Tel Aviv’s beaches during Yemen’s missile alerts.
Sanaa’s government emphasized that Yemen would “support the oppressed Palestinians and their fighters, refuse to reject the genocide committed by Zionist enemies against their brothers in the Gaza Strip, and continue to attack the Zionist regime as part of enforcing air suspensions of criminal Israeli.
On another strike, Yemeni forces used Jaffa drone to target “critical Israeli enemy sites” in Tel Aviv.
Yemeni officials have repeatedly warned international airlines that still operate flights to Israeli airports, declaring that an air traffic ban on occupied Palestine will remain in effect until the attacks on Gaza ceased.
“The military warns airlines that are not complying with the no-fly directive again. They must immediately halt all flights to the Palestinian occupied territories, as many others have already done,” warned Sally.
He added, “the decision to ban air voyages to occupied Palestine airports and to ban Israeli ships through the Red and Arabian Seas will continue until these and other support operations continue, as Gaza attacks are stopped and the siege is lifted.”
Yemen opened the military support front in November 2023 in solidarity with the hungry people of Gaza.
The air raids failed to prevent Yemeni forces from targeting key Israeli sites, allowing them to end the maritime blockade on Israeli ships, and now Yemen has vowed to implement a blockade beyond Israeli airspace.
