Israel and Hamas resumed ceasefire talks in Qatar on Saturday, Reuters reported, despite the two sides bolstering a bombing campaign that Israeli forces killed hundreds of people for more than 72 hours and mobilised for a massive Newground attack.
Palestinian health officials said at least 146 people were confirmed to have been killed on the third day of Israel’s latest bombing campaign.
Many more injured were being treated at hospitals, with countless others still buried under the tiled rub.
Israeli War Minister Israel Katz also said in a statement that negotiations on Hamas’ contract to release Israeli hostages have resumed in Doha. He said talks began when Israel first agreed to a ceasefire or to lift the blockade.
Israeli military said it is mobilizing large strikes and troops with the aim of achieving “operational control” in parts of Gaza.
