Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the US State Department for former President Joe Biden, told British broadcaster Sky News that “israel has certainly committed a war crime” in Gaza.
After spending more than a year justifying Washington’s unwavering support for Israel, Miller said the Israeli state was “whether it was “whether it was a policy that intentionally committed war crimes,” despite increasing evidence of its violation of Gaza’s international law.
“I think… it’s almost certainly not an open issue. I added that Israeli soldiers are not responsible for the fact that it was a war crime in which Israeli soldiers and members of the Israeli army committed war crimes.
In response to an interview, Matt Doss, executive vice president of the Center for International Policy Think Tanks, said the Biden administration had deceived the American people.
“They misled the public and Congress because Biden wanted to continue sending arms to Israel,” Duss wrote on social media. “Even though Miller is late, I’m glad that Miller is talking now, and I need to hear from many of his colleagues.
When Biden resigned from the start of the war in October 2023 on January 20, his administration poured billions of dollars in military support to Israel despite reports that US weapons were being used in deadly attacks on Palestinian civilians.
US law prohibits armed countries engage in human rights violations. However, supporters said the Biden administration distorted the facts and denied a well-documented violation of Israel.
