BEIRUT – Secretary-General Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem has emphasized that Hezbollah does not remain neutral between Iran’s legitimate rights and the American and Israeli deceits.
In a statement Thursday, Sheikh Qassem confirmed that Hezbollah will act what is deemed appropriate in the face of Israeli-American attacks on Iran.
The Hezbollah chief added, “The threat to the US president targeting Imam Khamenei is an attack on all people in the region and the free people of the world.”
Sheikh Kasem concluded: “The United States is leading the region towards chaos and instability, and the world towards an open crisis, which only brings American shame, disgrace and failure. Iran has the right to protect itself, and the people of the world and the free people of the world have the right to stand with the great leaders and Iran in the same trench.”
Iranian allies, Hezbollah in particular, discussed what they could do in this fight despite Netanyahu’s claim that “Iranian allies are in a state of deterrence,” the Hebrew media commented on Sheikh Qassem’s statement, saying, “Hezbollah will soon be in the fight.”
Meanwhile, Turkish US ambassador and special envoy for Syria, Thomas Barrack, visited Beirut and called for arms to be restricted to the Lebanese state.
“I came to help Lebanon so that the war doesn’t recur,” Barack insisted.
Balack emphasized the need to keep Lebanon neutral in regional wars, claiming that “Hezbollah’s intervention in the Iran-Israel war is a very bad decision.”
Recent developments, namely the fierce war between Iran and Israel’s enemies, have been the subject of discussion with three Lebanese leaders: President Joseph Orn, Speaker of Parliament Nabi Beli and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
Nawaf Salam wrote to X: “During the meeting, I confirmed Lebanon’s commitment to security and stability options and its refusal to be dragged into the ongoing war in the region.”
Salam emphasized that the Lebanese government continues to implement its reform program and expands its state sovereignty across all territories.
Council President Berri told Bali that it “represents Hezbollah’s perspective.”
Barrack is President Donald Trump’s best friend. His visit at particularly important moments in the area raises several questions.
Barrack reportedly told Lebanese officials that the appointment of a successor to Morgan Ortags will take place next fall. During this period, the Barracks will oversee the Lebanese Syrian Files as Syrian Special Envoys.
However, the US envoy did not make a promise, and did not fulfill its obligations to Israel, withdrawing from the occupied Lebanon territory, allowing Lebanon to begin reconstruction.
Barracks also offered no assurance that Israeli enemies would not resume their attack amid leaks about his intention to carry out a preemptive operation against Hezbollah.
Thomas Barrack is a Lebanese expatriate who studied law in the United States. He worked as an advisor to several princes in Saudi Arabia, where he learned Arabic and served as deputy secretary of the US Department of Interior.
In 1990 he founded the investment company Colony Capital, which achieved outstanding success in real estate investment, particularly in West Asia. In 2011, he ranked 833rd in the world and 373rd in the US’s wealthiest people
Barrack manages more than $60 billion in financial assets and is the CEO of Los Angeles-based Colony Capital and chairman of Miramex, the global film production company.
