TEHRAN – Iran’s ambassador, UN ambassador to New York, Sa’eed Iravani, has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council (UNSC) after “deliberate and unprovoked” air strikes by the US at three Iranian nuclear sites, urging the council to condemn potentially strong attacks.
Irabani called for a meeting early Sunday in a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNSC President Carolyn Rodriguez Bilkett, shortly after the US struck the site.

In addition to my previous letters dated June 13th, 16th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 20th, 2025, I will urgently draw the attention of the government and members of the UN Security Council, urgently pay attention to serious threats to regional and international peace and security, and will actively use the US sovereignty and territorial integration and territorial integration.

The US armed attacks on peaceful places and facilities in Iran also violate the agency laws, the IAEA General Assembly resolutions, and the Convention on Security Council Resolutions 487 (1981) and 2231 (2015) and the Nuclear Weapons Shortage Conditions (NPT).
