Tehran – Formation of a special committee early in the war imposed following Israeli attacks on Iran. This is when a process for maintaining a concrete and intangible heritage has begun nationwide, Deputy Minister Ali Dharabi said on Tuesday.
According to Mehr’s press, he emphasized the history of pacifism in the Iranian state, saying that Iran has always been the flag of peace, altruism and civilization throughout history. It wasn’t an attacker, but he stood firm against the aggression, he added.
Pointing to the disrupted history of the land, he said that the people of Iran have always been successful in crisis and difficulties. He added that God has always helped this great nation.
Regarding the Ministry of Cultural Heritage’s safeguards following the attacks by the Zionist regime, he said: “With the invasion of the Zionist regime, thanks to the efforts of the conservation unit and the assistance of experts, this was achieved to relocate historic monuments and objects to secure a place.”
He also congratulated Iran on his recent victory over the military attack, saying, “We faced a child murder regime that fought against Iran with the support of the US and NATO, but thanks to the brave leadership of the Supreme Leader, strong government presence, government support and Iran’s participation, Iran has won this fight.”
Dharabi continued that more than 100 cultural heritage activists signed the letters and urged them to support the historic monument. The Cultural Heritage Officer then sent an official letter to the director of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
He describes the measures implemented in the documentation and conservation areas, with digital archive preparation, geographically centred markings and detailed documentation being featured on the agenda, with the process continuing.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the need to protect cultural heritage requires permanent preparation, professional staff training and guidelines updates.
“Today we should be more vigilant than in the past. We must use all our abilities to maintain the history and identity of this land.”
