TEHRAN – As the Zionist regime expands its grip into southern Syria, locals are refusing to reach for the occupation regime.
Inhabitants of Abu Madra village in southern Kneitra refused to accept what is called “assistance” from the occupying forces.
This followed an invasion of the area by occupying forces on Saturday, in order to strengthen the regime’s illegal presence, according to local Syrian sources.
Another escalation on the ground led to an Israeli patrol of about 20 soldiers entering the village of Luweina in southern Kneitra.
Two Israeli tanks were stationed on the outskirts of the village, but patrols continued to move around residential areas, causing tension and concern among local residents.
These repeated Israeli movements in the region are seen as a clear violation of Syrian sovereignty and part of an ongoing attempt by the occupation regime to impose a new reality on the ground in Golan and its surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, Israeli Kan TV reported that Syrian officials personally spoke to him, confirmed that there had been a recent direct dialogue with Israelis.
An informed Syrian source also indicated that Damascus “does not rule out the possibility of reaching a peace agreement.”
The Hebrew media also reports that Ahmad Alshara’s government has normalised relations with the Israeli regime and officially acknowledges the annexation of Syria’s Golan Heights “until the end of 2025.”
A few days ago, White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said, “During the meetings between President Trump and President Alshara, one of his important demands was for Syria to join the Abraham Agreement.”
This comes when Israeli forces announced that occupying forces from the Alexandoni Brigade (Brigade 3) had made several raids in southern Syria this week, targeting weapons stores and arresting many individuals.
