Tehran – A tourism book for children was announced at a ceremony in Kashan, Isfahan Province, attended by Governor Mehdi Jamalinehad and several cultural heritage and tourism managers.
Speaking about the bystanders at the unveiling ceremony, Jamarinejad said Kashan is more advanced in terms of the tourism industry than many major cities in Iran, Borna reported.
The passenger stay coefficient in this city is higher than in Isfahan and many other parts of Iran, which is invaluable.
He thanked Kashan tourism activists and urged them to work more with those involved in preparing documents for the global registration of the monument.
Located on the edge of Iran’s central desert in Isfahan province, Kashan is one of the main tourist destinations.
Kashan is known for producing carpets, silk and other textiles. Today, the city has most of Iran’s mechanized carpet weaving factories and an active marble and copper mining industry. The population of Kashan and its suburbs is 400,000, Mehr’s news agency reported.
Kashan is located on the route that connects Tehran to its huge destinations in Isfahan, Shiraz and Yazd. Moreover, the ancient town is the gateway to many sights, stories and charming villages around it. Among the city’s highlights are gorgeously decorated homes in Borgeldi, Tabatabai, Amelie and Abbasi, as well as UNESCO listed fingerdens.
Located about 200km north of Isfahan, Kashan continues to grow as an important hub for Iranian tourism.
