Tehran – Mashhad’s Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport has resumed flight operations to 12 international and three domestic destinations, as it emerges from a tense 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel’s Zionist regime.
Flights have recovered after the reopening of airspace in eastern Iran, according to Mahmoud Amani-Bani, Airports Director for Khorasan Razavi Province.
International flights from Mashhad are currently operating in Beijing, Istanbul, Dubai, New Delhi, Shanghai, Kabul, Karachi, Lahore, Medina, Muscat, Moscow and Doha, while domestic flights serve Zahedan, Chabahar and Karman.
“After airspace restrictions were lifted, operations at several domestic and international destinations have resumed, and some foreign airlines have submitted requests to revive their services,” he said.
Amani Bani also noted that three international airlines – Turkish Airlines, Flydubai and Air Arabia-Have, have already resumed service to Mashhad.
Mashhad, the second largest city in Iran and the main religious tourism hub, is the capital of Khorasan Razabi Province.
