A Kuwaiti student is suing her former British university for violating her former British university after preventing her from peacefully protesting institutional investment in Israel at her graduation ceremony, Mee reported.
Aisha Albader filed a legal claim against Bangor University in Wales for her human rights assault, battery, false imprisonment and violations.
The allegations stem from an incident that took place at the graduation ceremony last year. Alvader planned to walk across the stage when he graduated with pillowcases with the message “Bangor University will invest in genocide.”
However, Albadar, a member of a group of local students who had campaigned for Bangor University to sell from companies that were complicit in Israel’s potential war crimes, was stopped by four security guards who dragged her off stage before taking her out of the building.
Multiple videos of the incident, which received over 150,000 views, showed several security guards dragging Alvader from his graduation stage from his graduation stage in front of hundreds.
