Tehran – The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) in the latest social media report nominated Iran among the top countries in terms of tourism sector performance in the first quarter of 2025, Vice Minister Anuvan Moseni Bandopey said at a meeting of the policy making conference held on the visitor’s website on the Pazian Gulf Hall website.
Taking this outcome into consideration, special attention is placed on the agenda on Visitiran’s website, which aims to promote marketing activities, the introduction of Iran’s tourism potential, and restore the country’s tourism image.
According to the Ministry of Tourism’s Public Relations Bureau, Moseni Bandopey added that the report shows Iran has the best performance in the first quarter of this year before the 12-day Israeli candidate war.
He said, “This report can be seen as an indicator of growth and as a fact that our country’s tourism industry is on the right track within the above time frame. It is now time to do our best to market and improve the country’s tourism position by introducing tourism possibilities in global sectors.”
Pointing to the possibility of Visitiran’s website to introduce a true image of Iran, he said that the active presence of private sector and state sectors in the Policymaking Council of Visitiran’s website can generate a prominent distribution in the creation of content and management of information products types, depending on the taste of tourists.
He said future activities of the website include adding a marketing approach, generating enthusiasm for travel to Iran on Visitiran’s website, paying attention to the preferences and questions of foreign tourists, using them in the design of the website, determining indicators to assess the performance of the website, as well as including online travel guides in accordance with current technology and social network use. Based on that, he added, a wide range of operational measures will be taken with the aim of introducing Iran’s tourism capabilities and restoring Iran’s tourism status at the international level.
He expressed his hope that the country’s tourism business environment would be improved as quickly as possible.
