Tehran – Shahroud Cultural Heritage Bureau Mohammad-Sadeq Razavian has stated the news of the reopening of the historical and cultural complex of Sheikh Aborasan Hargani in Sharroud, Semnan.
According to Milas Aliya (CHTN), he also said the completion of foundation reinforcements of the tomb, brick flooring, structural strengthening, patching cracks, grout, painting walls and additional measures in the area have made him ready for visitors and tourists.
He explained that repair operations have been carried out in several phases over the past few months to improve the safety of the structure and maintain the historical value of the tomb.
Now, after the restoration work is complete, the conditions are ripe for resuming the exploitation of the complex, he added.
He said that Sheikh Aborassan’s tomb is located 24 km north of Sharud and that due to the scientific and spiritual state of this incredible personality, it brings together many researchers, pilgrims and lovers of Islamic mysticism.
Razavian explained that Sheikh Abolhassan Kharghani was one of the great mystics of the fourth and fifth centuries of the Islamic calendar.
He added that valuable works such as Favateh al-Jamal, Risalat al-Khaif al-Ha’im and Nur Al-Ulum have been left behind by him.
He emphasized that the Sheikh Abolhassan Kharghani complex has facilities such as libraries, residential suites, recreational spaces and appropriate tourism infrastructure.
It is registered nationwide under number 645 and is considered one of the important spiritual and cultural destinations in Semnan Province, he added.
He expressed hope that the reopening of the complex would prepare grounds for drawing tourists, improving spiritual tourism and boosting the local economy.
History shows that the famous mystics Sheikh Abu Sayed Abu al-Khaea and the famous philosophers Abu Ali Sina and Nasser Hoslow Gobadiani are Iranian poets and thinkers who lived at the same time as Hargani. Also, Khajeh Abdullah Ansari was one of Sheikh’s distinguished students. One of the most well-known Iranian mystics, Bayazid Bastami, announced his birth more than 100 years before Kargani’s birth. It is said that Sheikh Bayazid visited the village once a year. He was standing and breathing as he was passing Halkan, and his followers asked him, “Sheikh, we have not heard anything.” He said: Yes, I can smell the guy in this area. He is a man whose name is Ali and whose nickname is Abu al-Hassan, and he will go ahead before me. The great mystic of the 7th century, Rumi sorted out the story of the spiritual connection between Bayazid Bastami and Sheikh Aborassan Kargani and his famous prophecy.
It is said that Sheikh Aborassan Kargani wrote at the entrance to his kanga.
The complex is like an Iranian garden with blue water flowing through it, making it a comfortable place for travelers to explore.
Other attractions near this tomb include Bayazid Bastami Mosque, Bastami Mosque, Cloud Forest, Mogen Waterfall and Taskistan Road.
