Tehran – The international festival dedicated to Abain’s heritage is scheduled to take place on July 21st to 22nd at Tehran’s Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense Museum.
The event aims to celebrate Aaaain’s culture and introduce the spiritual, cultural and artistic aspects of Albaain’s pilgrimage.
Organizers say the festival provides a platform for Imam Hussein followers to document, narrate and explain the various dimensions of Abain’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
“The event also highlights the role of Aaaain’s pilgrimage in the advancements in cultural and software technology related to pilgrimage and spiritual tourism.”
Arbaeen marks the end of a 40-day period of mourning that continued the martial teaching of the third Shiite Imam and his fellow members at the Battle of Karbara in 680 AD. Every year, millions of Shia Muslims around the world take on pilgrimage to Kalbara, walking hundreds of kilometers to express their faith.
