TEHRAN – The blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation regime in Gaza put 650,000 hungry Palestinian children at risk of death.
The occupation regime will continue its hunger campaign in Gaza, putting hundreds of thousands of children at risk of death and blocking humanitarian assistance desperately needed.
The outcome is disastrous, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
The ongoing lockdown has led to an unprecedented number of people of all ages reaching the emergency room at Field Hospital, suffering from extreme fatigue and malnutrition.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health warned that hundreds of severely weakened individuals face certain deaths because the hunger and their bodies are unable to withstand further deprivation.
The number of children who died from hunger and malnutrition in Gaza has risen to over 70.
“We warn that hundreds of people with withered bodies are facing certain deaths from hunger because their physical strength can no longer sustain them,” the ministry explained.
At least 620 Palestinians have died from food and drug shortages, according to the Gaza government media office.
These figures emerge as Israel’s occupation regime maintains a full siege on the territory. This is a policy written by the office as part of an ongoing campaign of genocide, exacerbated by the lack of meaningful international intervention.
Government media offices have also released updated figures related to the lockdown. Since the Gaza intersection was completely closed, the occupation regime has blocked at least 76,450 humanitarian assistance and fuel trucks from entering the strip.
As a result, in addition to dozens of children already hungry, about 650,000 are at risk of dying of hunger and malnutrition.
The United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency (UNRWA) also accused them of using hunger as a weapon against civilians in Gaza.
In a statement on social media, Unrwa warned: “Israeli authorities are starving civilians in Gaza, with one million children among them.”
The Gaza Government Office has updated its urgent call to end the ongoing deadly lockdown, saying, “Living up the siege: Allowing UNRWA to bring in food and medicine.”
What the office called the “American and Israeli Aid Center,” and what the “Death Trap,” killed nearly 900 people in Israeli shootings while seeking food aid. More than 5,666 other people have been injured and 42 are missing.
Israeli occupation forces have also been bombed or targeted.
•57 Aid and Food Distribution Center
•42 public kitchens
• 121 separate occasions for humanitarian convoys and aid delivery
Meanwhile, 12,500 cancer patients are at risk of dying without access to treatment or nutrition, and about 60,000 pregnant women face serious health risks due to medical and food shortages.
Certain countries are conspiring to star campaigns
The Gaza government’s media office holds an Israeli regime that is entirely responsible for the hunger crisis. But it also denies countries conspire with the ongoing genocide through silence, accomplice, or direct support, among them the best of the US, Germany and France.
The office urged the international community and the free world to take immediate action to stop the regime’s hunger policy, open border crossings, break sieges and ensure aid enters without delay.
“Some families haven’t eaten for days.”
“Some families haven’t eaten in days and most people have no access to food,” said Mouhammed Bseil, a spokesman for the civil defense of Gaza.
Even civil defense teams are struggling. “Some of our own teams have not eaten for two days and survived with just water,” Bseil said, adding that the so-called “assistance centres” are purely political tools, not humanitarian efforts.
He concluded with a harsh warning. “History records that many people in Gaza were killed by starvation in the coming days.”
