Tehran – Alborz province is a compact representation of Iranian history, nature, culture and civilization, and should be a transformative axis of the country’s tourism policy making system, according to Cultural Heritage Minister Leza Salech on Wednesday.
Expressing the President’s warm greeting to the state’s educated patients, he added that the government is obliged to take steps to resolve people’s problems and to encourage the balanced development of the local cultural and economic infrastructure.
He pointed out that Alborz is not a remote state, but a civilisation center that should be the new hub for Iran’s tourism.
Pointing to the strategic position of Alborz in the country’s central communications network, he said that Alborz is at the forefront of the burden of Tehran and the western and north axis population. He added, therefore, there is a need for a national approach, intersectoral decisions, and extensive investment in the tourism and services sector.
He emphasized that the Alborz Tourism Infrastructure should reach global standards. It should be the gateway to the entrance for an international tour to Iran, he pointed out.
Referring to the unique possibilities of Alborz’s province in its archaeological heritage, he said the province is known as the capital of Iran’s ancient hills. Most meanings of Alborz lack historical monuments and natural charm, he added.
He emphasizes the beginning of the scientific quest of the state hills and the beginning of the state’s historic reconciliation, saying:
Salehi-Amiri has appointed to revive the historical space, establish a specialized museum, organize the country’s heritage, and create a public route as the main goal of the project.
He provided news of the impending inauguration of the five-star hotel in support of the provincial governor of Karaj city. The hotel is an important step towards internationalizing Alborz tourism, he added.
He said some tourism projects are currently under construction across the state.
The minister noted that the state of Alborz should become a national brand and then transform into a global destination. This requires careful implementation, smart planning and institutional support, he added.
Alborz is one of Iran’s 31 provinces. Its capital is located at the foot of Mount Alborz, the city of Karaj, 10 km west of Tehran. Alborz is Iran’s smallest province in the region.
