Tehran – Accramad hosts many domestic and foreign tourists every year as one of the most tourist villages in OK Khorasan Razavi Province, the state tourism director said.
Speaking on the sidelines of a training workshop held for local businessmen and tourism activists in Chenaran, Korasan Razabi province on Tuesday, Mohammad Rokuni said the creation of housing units and tourism infrastructure is extremely important to provide better services to tourists visiting Akramad village.
He said that 12 ecolodges and traditional residences are active in Chenaran country, and that there are only three ecolodges in Accramad village.
“Over five million visitors from Arab countries visit Accramad Village a year. In fact, with this amount of travellers, the number of permitted accommodations in Accramad does not meet this amount of tourists, and faces a shortage of accommodation units in this village.”
He pointed out that cooperation from Accramad residents and efforts are being made to compensate for these defects, and he continued that one of the most important concerns for a country with abundant natural and historical appeal is attracting tourists.
Rokni added: “The best ideas for attracting tourists must be identified between all unfounded, purely theoretical solutions. It is not enough to have only natural and historical possibilities, but a simple and operational solution to direct audiences.”
He said that the existence of natural possibilities, such as waterfalls, mountains and permanent rivers, in the village of Accramad, is one of the notable features of this tourist village that must be properly introduced, along with holding festivals and preserving past customs and traditions.
Also, Ali-Akbar Ahmadzadeh, another tourism director in Khorasan Razavi province, said the tourist area of Akhlamad is one of the popular sites for tourists across the state.
He considered the host’s actions to be one of the main pillars of accepting and attracting tourists, adding, “If the host treats tourists with proper action and respect, it will help raise tourist enthusiasm to choose this destination and develop tourism in the area.”
The satisfaction of tourists with the behavior of the host community has a direct impact on the spiritual image of the destination, and Ahmadzadeh said that a positive mental image of the destination due to the good behavior of the host would persuade tourists to travel to that destination and encourage other tourists to recommend it.
By highlighting that creating a positive experience for tourists not only helps attract more tourists, but also can lead to retention, he pointed out that if tourists are satisfied with the behavior of their hosts, they are more likely to return to their destination, which could be a positive cycle for the development of tourism in the region.
He pointed out the importance of training local hosts, saying that holding training courses for the local community will help them acquire the skills they need to effectively interact with tourists. The training should include ways to deal with tourists, provide appropriate services and become familiar with the culture and needs of tourists, he added.
He added that states and private agencies will need to work together to design and implement tourism development programs. Not only should these programs help attract tourists, but they should also pay attention to maintaining the local culture and identity, he said.
Referring to the tourism potential of the Akhlamad region, Ahmadzadeh said, “This region, which has its natural and historic charm, has the potential to attract domestic and foreign tourists. We need to use these capabilities appropriately and create the necessary infrastructure to provide tourists with conditions for an unforgettable experience.”
Emphasizing the need for cooperation between different sectors of society, he states: “Consistent cooperation and positive interactions will create a bright future for regional tourism and transform Accramado into one of the country’s major tourist destinations.”
Akramad village has one of the most beautiful qualities around Mashhad and is extremely popular among tourists and climbers. Akhlamad Waterfall S is the most fascinating part of this place.
Located in the village of Akramad and approximately 85 km from Mashhad in Korasan Razavi province, Accramad Waterfall is about 40 meters tall. Pond fossils and mineral deposits testify to the Cascade’s long history.
This place offers views of valleys, tall rocky walls, waterfalls, rivers and fruit gardens.
The waterfall freezes completely during the harsh winters when it presents spectacular natural scenery on the one hand and offers a challenge to rock climbers on the other.
According to some sources, Abushal Ekramad appears to have been from the late Jurassic period. As a result of a heavy downpour, you can pour a lot of water over the first few months of this year.
Visitors may stay for several hours, taking in fresh air in an environment known for their abundant apples and cherry trees.
