Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem warned Israel on Tuesday against the resumption of a wider war with Lebanon, Al Jazeera reported.
Lebanon’s resistance leaders said that if the regime did so, the rocket would fall into Israeli territory.
“If Israel decides to engage in a massive war, the missiles will rain again and all the security they have been working on for eight months will collapse,” he said at a commemorative event for General Saizadi, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Commander (IRGC).
Qassem tackled a ceasefire with Israel, and while Hezbollah had full respect for it, he said Israel had violated “thousands of times.”
He also criticized the latest version of the roadmap that Hezbollah was pushed by US envoy Thomas Barrack to disarm. Qassem pointed out that it does not come with sufficient guarantees that Israel will halt the attack. “If we abandon our weapons, the attack will not stop. This is what Israeli officials are saying.”
Lebanon’s resistance leader added that Hezbollah failed to agree to the latest proposed timetable.
To improve the stability of Lebanon, Qassem called for cooperation “in the framework of national unity” that is not found in “America or other leadership.”
