Tehran – Iranian Consul General Seyed Sayed Seyedain of Najaf has issued news that he has launched 507 Iranian Mukh – a service centre with a religious nature that involves a religious ritual during Aabain – Najaf coordinated the Iraqi mandate.
According to Isna, he said that Aaaain’s pilgrimage demonstrates the depth of bonds of faith and solidarity between people of the same faith and religion. This is a unique global opportunity, he said, and Iraqis have proven most qualified to serve pilgrims.
He added that many governments and public delegations of Iran and Tehran and Mashhad municipalities are proudly working with the Iraqi Party to provide the best service to pilgrims. He pointed out that in Najaf alone there are 507 Ilan Mukevs run in conjunction with Iraqi delegations.
Seiyedine continued that Iranian Mookev distributed about 50,000 votive meals a day in Najaf’s old town. He added that 80 mukevs have also been established for medical services under the supervision of Iran’s Red Crescent Association (IRCS), with over 1,000 Iranian doctors and nurses working there.
He emphasized that around 80,000 ice cubes have been distributed in cooperation with Iranian Mookevs, and 30 schools in Najaf have been assigned to these Mookevs in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. Municipalities in Mashhad and Tehran have dispatched more than 1,000 volunteer servants and 30 service vehicles, including municipal and fire trucks. He added that 60 ambulances have been deployed in Najaf by the IRCS.
The Iranian Consul General has also announced the provisions of appropriate conditions to link the Iranian railway network from Sharanche to Basra and then to Kalbala, as well as the existence of bilateral negotiations to build railway lines in the general border area between the two countries.
One of the world’s largest religious gatherings, Albain marks the end of a 40-day period of mourning that continued the martial teaching of Imam Hussein (AS) and his fellow martials at the Battle of Karbara in 680 AD.
Every year, millions of Shia Muslims around the world embark on this pilgrimage on Kalbara, walking hundreds of kilometers as an expression of their faith and devotion.
The Albainian ceremony is unique in that it is the largest gathering with the presence of people of various nationalities around the world. This has become a global event that transnates borders. It lights Ashura’s spark and turns it into motion.
