Tehran – The pistachio-themed tourism event will be held in the Zahedan area of Iran’s southeastern Sistan Balkestan province in the government week (September 23-29), the provincial tourism bureau said.
Alireza Shahbakhsh said the event is celebrating Kurin’s model farmers, artisans and tour guides and aims to showcase the district’s agriculture and tourism potential. The programme is organized in collaboration with the Zahedan administration office, the Agricultural Jihadian division and the Youth and Sports division, Isna reports.
Shahbakhsh said the event will not only promote local products, but also help attract tourists and investors. Activities include displays of Indigenous games, handicrafts and district produce.
Emphasizing the link between agriculture and tourism, he said that the interaction between the two sectors can support sustainable rural development, create jobs, introduce attractions, and increase community income.
