TEHRAN – Many bloggers from Tajikistan have been invited to Iran by the private sector to boost tourism between Iran and Tajikistan, the deputy director of the Tehran Tourism Bureau said.
Reza Hemmati added that the measure is in line with the introduction of tourism, cultural and historical possibilities in Tehran, Irna reported.
He also said that apart from the joint language, Iran and Tajikistan have deep cultural and historical ties. He noted that the introduction of Tehran’s tourist attractions could be a good opportunity to boost bonds.
Hemati explained that the bloggers visited the Iranian Mall and the Tehran Bazaar and became familiar with the contemporary and traditional aspects of Iranian shopping and urban culture on the first day of their visit.
It was also placed on the agenda by visiting the cultural and historic complexes of Tabiat Bridge and Tehran, so that Tajik tourists could have a comprehensive experience in the Iranian capital.
He emphasized that a visit to Tehran from a foreign blogger is a great opportunity to showcase the ancient history of the capital, authentic architecture and everyday culture.
The programme will continue through visits to Tehran’s historic textures, cultural monuments and tourist destinations, he said, adding that the presence of Tajikistani tourism activists and social media is projected to open ground for cultural cooperation and portraying tourists.
Iran and Tajikistan share deep cultural, linguistic and historical connections. In recent years, the two countries have significantly stimulated bilateral cooperation in a variety of fields. For example, on June 13, 2022, officials from Tajikistan and Iran convened a tourism forum to strengthen tourism collaboration between the two countries.
Additionally, on June 21, 2022, a Joint Security Task Force Meeting was held in Dushanbe, featuring representatives from both countries’ Ministry of Home Affairs. This joint security initiative aims to synchronize efforts against terrorism, organized crime and drug trafficking, thereby addressing the shared security challenges.
