Tehran – Family Tourism Routes focusing on historical and cultural monuments create all ages and boost possibilities to promote the tourism sector in Tehran’s 12 local government districts, said Mayer of Tehran’s district 12 Mohammad Aini.
He explained that the tourist route was first designed in Tehran, starting at Feldousi Square and following the Tehran Bazaar, the Young Journalist Club reported.
Ayini continued. “The route is designed in three parts and we have considered a station for tourists to rest. This tourist package starts at Imam Khomeini Square and continues at Golestan Palace.”
He said the route was designed by leveraging the facilities and capabilities available in a historical context, and that valuable buildings, old neighborhoods and cultural spaces were designed in a way that allows easy travel and visits of all ages.
Regarding the timing of family tourism routes, the mayor of the 12th ward said: “The implementation and preparation of the elements of the route are underway, and this route is expected to be operational within the next month or two.
Finally, referring to the tourist routes in the 12th district, he stated that the area alone hosts 53% of the city’s tourist routes, and there are currently 16 active routes. With the implementation of the new plan, this capacity will reach over 70%, he added.
