BEIRUT — The Hazbollah and the Amal movement called for protests in Beirut on Wednesday afternoon and denounce the government’s decision to disarm the resistance.

“We are trying to reject an approach to submission and surrender and retain our main national position to defend Lebanon’s strength and sovereignty,” the statement said, “This stand is an affirmation of our right to maintain our arms.
The Hezbollah and the Amal Movement hope that Wednesday will “be immortalized in history in the record of your struggle with your presence and protest, and your will affirm your refusal to submit.”
