Hezbollah Secretary Sheikh Naim Qassem said the Lebanese government’s order to remove the arms of the Resistance Group was a serious mistake stolen under Israeli Dikutts.
“If this government continues in this form, we cannot become a trustee of Lebanon’s sovereignty unless we retract the decision,” he said.
Kasem also repeated that Hezbollah would not abandon his weapons.
“Resistance remains a powerful barrier that prevents Israel from achieving its goals, and Israel cannot remain in Lebanon or achieve its expansionist project through Lebanon,” the Hezbollah chief said.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam entrusted the Lebanese army with a plan to restrict arms to the province by the end of the year. This is a decision aimed at disarming Hezbollah.
This comes after the Lebanese Ministerial Council approved a resolution last month to develop a plan to disarm the movement and entrust the Army with the aim of entrusting its army.
The order was in line with a US initiative that included a vague promise that Israel would end the occupation of parts of South Lebanon and that if Hezbollah’s weapons were removed, it would end daily attacks on the country.
Hezbollah said he will deal with the decision “as if it didn’t exist.”
Hezbollah has defended Lebanon from outside attacks for decades, especially from Israel’s enemies.
Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire that came into effect on November 27, 2024. Under this agreement, Israel had to withdraw from Lebanon’s territory entirely, but is stationed in southern Lebanon, in five locations: Lovebune, Mount Bratt, Mount Bratt, Oweida Hill, Asheye and Hamyamis Hill.
This occupation constituted a clear violation of UN Security Council resolution 1701, and the terms of the contract reached last November.
Since the implementation of the ceasefire, Israel has violated its contract more than 3,700 times through repeated attacks on Lebanon’s territory. Lebanese authorities have warned that regime violations of a ceasefire threaten national stability.
