Emphasizing the importance of starting this air route, Karim-Aqaei said the measure was effective not only to promote pilgrim travel to Mashhad, but also to develop religious tourism capabilities and strengthen economic relations between the two regions.
He also mentioned the development plan for Qeshm Airport, adding that the flight is part of an ongoing plan and that the number of domestic and international flights will increase in the near future.
Karim-Aqaei said the airport is one of the key air transport hubs in the country’s southern part of the country, so it is working with infrastructure upgrades and reputable airlines.
