Caracas – In recent weeks, the US has strengthened its policy of greatest military pressure on the government and the people of Venezuelan by sending eight warships and nuclear submarines to Caribbean waters near the Venezuelan coast.
The lawsuit violates the declarations of Tlatelolco and Celac, declaring Caribbean waters and Latin America as zones free of nuclear weapons and armed conflict, respectively.
The action has been promoted by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a political figure associated with the anti-communist lobby in Miami, and has been linked to drug trafficking since the beginning of his political career.
Despite the fact that the US is the leading consumer in the drug world, the stated justification for the development is a suspicion of a fight against drug trafficking. But in reality, the goal is to pressure the Venezuela Bolivar government to achieve what is called a “change in the political system” in our country. For the past 25 years, Venezuela’s foreign policy has defended anti-imperialism, defending people’s self-determination and sovereignty.
The truth is that this latest attack will be added to Washington’s long-standing attempts to overthrow the Bolivar Revolution.
Venezuela’s response to this new threat was to prepare to protect the country’s sovereignty under all scenarios, including war. Figures provided by President Maduro last Monday show that 8.2 million fighters are registered with the Bolivar Militia, a military-related volunteer corps.
We Venezuelans are peaceful and peaceful people, but we endure our shoulders and have the heroic legacy of Simon Bolivar and his free army. Therefore, our sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable and must always be respected.
