Tehran – Iran will be participating in the 17th China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo (Citie 2025) with the aim of introducing the country’s tourism vision (brand) under the title “Majestic Iran” and developing the Chinese tourism market.
According to Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) Tour and Automobile Club Public Relations (TACI) said the exhibition will be held in Guangzhou from September 11th to 13th to hold the official Iran presence for the first time, with TACI’s efforts being held as a representative of cultural missionaries, tourism and tourist residence missions in the field of handicraft. Eight travel and air service companies and handicraft production companies from Iran will attend city events and represent the country’s tourism industry.
Considering this international event as an opportunity for business-to-business conference (B2B) conferences, it will introduce special travel packages for Iran and attract potential tourists from China.
Among the programs to be implemented at Iranian pavilions are the introduction of various Iranian tourism services and packages, establishing contacts with Chinese tourism activists, introducing new and safe and different images of Iran to the Chinese tourism market, and running advertising campaigns after the exhibition is over.
Iran’s presence at City 2025 will be an effective step to develop a target market, particularly in East Asia, and increase the country’s share of international tourism.
As one of China’s largest and most famous tourist events, the exhibition is held annually with over 50 countries and regions participating in a 30,000 square metre region, hosting over 20,000 tourism experts, travel agents and tour operators.
One of China’s richest provinces and an annual population of over 16 million inbound and outbound tourists, Guangdong Province is an important market for the development of Iran’s tourism.
Given the state’s media position and its ability to promote it, the presence of Iran in this exhibition will help redefine our country’s image as a safe and diverse cultural destination in the minds of Chinese tourists.
