TEHRAN – Iran has reached a new level of jumping relationship with Armenia, and the Minister of Cultural Heritage said he has sailed Reza Salehi Amiri.

Welcoming the Armenian Minister and the accompanying delegation, he said: “Last year, this year we had a happy life in Armenia. Today we spoke with Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut about the constructive dialogue in Armenia.
“On the basis of Mous, we implement operational measures in the field of cooperation with the National Museum. In the field of cultural heritage, we hold exhibitions of handicrafts in Tehran and Yerevan, co-registering concrete and intangible works at UNESCO in 2025, and implementing cultural and handicraft heritage, training and restoration.”
Of the 400 registered handicraft fields around the world, there are 300 in Iran, with 573 officially engaged in the production of handicrafts, and 1 million housewives engaged in the production of handicrafts at home. “In 2024, there was $500 million worth of handicraft exports.”
“We have come to believe that Armenian friends are working constructively with us. We believe that inter-religious convergence and peace can begin in the holy land. We have restored most of the church and registered with UNESCO.
He said the renowned professor, the head of the Institute of Cultural Heritage, is ready to hold a joint training workshop for artists in the fields of miniature, Armenian pottery and the restoration of works.
Salehi-Amiri said: “At a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, we proposed to commence Iran’s Armenian sightseeing tour, particularly the visits of churches and Iranian tourists. In 2024, 263,000 Armenia travelled to Iran from Armenia, and 213,000 Iran won 213,000 Iran.
He emphasized: “Here is the houses of the Armenian people, and one of their interests is to travel to Armenia, and there is space for them.”
Salehi-Amiri said: “Based on Mou, the first collaborative collaboration took place at Persepolis, where over 100 Armenian musicians participated in the event, created a dream night and received good feedback in Iran and Armenia.”
He said, “We are ready to broadcast content produced for Armenian attractions, including films, podcasts and documentaries in Iranian media, and we hope that in return the Iranian attractions will be portrayed in Armenian media.”
Speaking to Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Salehi-Amiri said:
He explained: “My fellow ministers are planning intensive programs and meetings for you. I hope to strengthen bilateral relations in the fields of culture, tourism, education and cultural heritage.”
Deputy Tourism Minister Anusilvan Moseni Bandopey also said: “Armenia is one of the countries that targets tourism. Last year, it was about attracting 400,000 to 500,000 tourists from the country, of which over 50% have been achieved.
Meanwhile, Alireza Izadi, director of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, said, “We co-registered the San Sadeus ritual with Armenia in 2020.”
He added that the joint files for Tirgan or Vardavar Festival will also be first accepted for UNESCO registration, with the final work that will be completed in December next year.
At the end of the meeting, the Iranian Minister of Tourism and Armenian Minister of Culture introduced each other to the gift of handicrafts.
