Tehran – Palestinian resistance in Gaza has repeatedly carried out more deadly operations against the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) trying to invade Gaza city.
Hamas’ armed building, the Alkasam Brigade, has announced that its Resistance Fighters have targeted three Iof Merkava tanks in the southern region of Gaza’s Zeitoun district.
According to Alkassam, the operation took place near Salah Al-Din Mosque and Zeitoun Clinic, south of the Zeitoun district.
Dozens of resistance fighters returned from the frontline and confirmed the success of the mission.
Previously, Alkassam reported that he had attacked a hand-ren bullet propelled by the “Yasin 105” rocket, and another Merkaba tank with a “Shawaz” explosive device and a D9 military bulldozer on Street 8 southwest of Zeitoun.
Alkassam has also released a video showing some of the complicated ambush they had previously performed in the agricultural area of Beit Hanong in northern Gaza. The attack was part of an ongoing “David’s Stones” operation targeting IOF soldiers.
In a statement shared on social media, Al-Qassam said at least five IOF soldiers were killed and several others were injured while in ambush. Israeli media at the time described the incident as “very dangerous” and “one of the most complicated events” since October 7, 2023.
Israeli media also reported that one of the injured was a senior officer of the Nahar Brigade and recently took over the operation in northern Gaza.
The Al-Kud Brigade, an armed wing of Palestinian Islamic jihad, announced that it had fired two rockets at the village of netibots in Israel in retaliation for the regime’s military action against the Palestinians.
The IOF confirmed the attack and claimed that one rocket was intercepted and the other had landed in the open area.
Hebrew media reported that sirens rang out in an area near the Gaza border, and that rocket launches had made them all as far as West Negev.
Despite the US-backed war of genocide and blockade, Palestinian resistance facts continue to attack military targets and settlements, and what they say is that the occupying regime has failed to achieve the dismantling of war objectives, particularly resistance.
Hebrew media outlet Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the government’s political leader will change the name of Gaza City Operation from “Gideon’s Chariots 2” to “Gideon’s Chariots 2” in order to try to “sell” Israeli settlers as a “new step.”
Meanwhile, indiscriminate and extremely deadly airstrikes continue to land in civilian regions, sparking global rage.
Reports from Save the Children reveal that more than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza, with an average of at least one child dead every hour, since genocide began almost 23 months ago.
The organization said these deaths account for about 2% of all children in the strip. At least 1,009 of those killed were under one year old, of which about 450 were born during the war and died before their first birthday.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reports that at least 42,011 children have been injured, and the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities estimates that more than 21,000 children have been permanently disabled. Thousands are believed to remain missing or buried under the tiled ble.
Save the Children warned that the lives of surviving children are increasingly at risk, especially as hunger spreads in Gaza.
Over one million children, half of them, face devastating hunger, marking the most extreme levels on the integrated food security stage scale. At least 132,000 children under the age of 5 are at risk of death from severe malnutrition.
The organization reported that IOF airstrikes destroyed 97% of schools and 94% of hospitals in Gaza. Children are seven times more likely than adults, and die from explosive injuries.
The organization also reminded the international community that under the international community, children are entitled to special protection due to increased vulnerability. Respecting these laws is a matter of humanity, not a choice.
Separately, Amjad Shawa, director of the Palestinian NGOS network in Gaza, says at least 300,000 children in the strip are classified as suffering from malnutrition.
Gaza’s Health Ministry announced on Sunday that the number of genocide casualties has risen to 64,368 deaths and 162,776 injuries, and that Israel’s occupation continues to bomb various regions throughout the Gaza Strip.
