Tehran – Iranian documentary director Mohammad Esani was highly praised for winning the UNESCO Award for Intangible Heritage in the 17th edition of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs).
According to ISNA, the award was presented by the International Centre for Information and Networking on the Asia-Pacific Region (ICHCAP) under the auspices of UNESCO during the DMZ Documentary Festival in Korea.
The director’s new documentary project on Baroque music was announced at the festival.
“Rakhsh Bar Naqsh”, “Tabriz: Images of a Forgotten World”, “Gonbad-e Mina”, “Lady of Urmia”, “Roozegari Hamoun”, and “Water Take Us” are among the works of this documentary filmmaker.
The 17th “DMZ” documentary film festival begins on September 11th and runs until September 17th. It was held in the demilitarized zone between South Korea and North Korea.
